Your Tee Shot
The leading writs is key, more specifically, right at the top of the backswing .The wrist needs to stay straight at the top of the backswing, and you'll observe this effect in every pro level swing you see.
If you don't suffer from a cupped wrist at the, you can jump past this part of the article -- as well as count yourself very lucky. But if you do have this horrible position at the top of your backswing, keep reading.
. You cannot do what I am going to teach you if your grip isn't very very good.
Don't worry about it. It's the way it should be.
Your hands will eb position correctly, basically mirroring one another. That means that your " V" on your right hand also points to your right shoulder when you put it on the club.If this feels strange, again, that's okay. Take the time to get used to it.
You'll need to internalize it before you can move on to anything else. I can now talk about the keading wrist and it's importance at the top of the backswing. The why is simple. 1. Well, what can I say. Concentrating on your left hand while in the set up position, getting ready to move the club away into the backswing. Grip the club with pressure with these two fingers. You're not going to be moving it very far. Again, keep the rest of your body still. Turn your head and peek at the position of your club. Your leading wrist will be straight, your trailing wrist will be bent back toward it's corresponding forearm, and the club should be making approxamitely a 45 degree anglew with the ground. That's it. That's the key to a good solid golf swing, and the reason I published this. You will do this as you begin the backswing, it's the first thing you do. that's ok. This is pretty much the finaly touch on a very consistent swing. Congrats...now go hit the range.
